I hadn't heard about this before, but it's pretty awesome. Acclaimed director, Richard Linkater, has been shooting a film for the past 9 years. Why the long schedule? Well, it is about a boy as he grows up and Linklater made the bold choice to cast a kid and have him age naturally. He's been shooting a little bit of the script every summer since 2002 and will continue doing so until 2014. Little detail was given in the article on slashfilm.com but just the concept alone has me very intrigued. I love the Seven Up series - which has a new instalment due out next year - but this is the first time I've ever heard of something scripted being done like this.
