If you know me, you know that I love alternate means of transportation. While I enjoy driving a car in the right conditions, for the right reasons, ultimately I think our transportation system is totally backwards in this country. It's especially obvious in a city like Los Angeles where you can sit in stop and go traffic and look around at the thousands of other cars that have only one driver in them. Not only is this wrecking the environment and the air we breathe, but it's overly expensive and inefficient. I could go on and on. Maybe It'll be a Monday rant sometime soon. In the mean time, check out this very exciting news from the LA Times. Spoiler alert: It's big plans for the subway system that are actually moving forward. East/West routes will be huge. Now just throw in a few north/south ones like on Fairfax and another on Vine and we might actually have a viable subway system. Read all about the new budget and the plans here.
