After several stories about how we are destroying the environment, how about some good news? As cool tech comes out that makes electric cars more fun and easier, the more people will want to buy them. The more people buy them, the more money will go into these sorts of R&D projects. This is certainly something that adds a lot of incentive to having an electric vehicle.
Volvo is working on an inductive charging system that would charge a car without having to plug it in. These systems could be installed under the floor in garages and parking lots and would mean that the driver would never need to think about powering up their vehicle. It would charge over night at home just by being parked over the panel. Pretty rad.
My only question is what happens when the cat crawles under the car for a nap. Read more about it here.
