The practice of a separate photo shoot being done before or after a speech has been going on for as long as there were both cameras and events to shoot them with. We saw this in The Kings Speech - and it makes total sense. Cameras can be noisy and obtrusive. Why it became news earlier this week is beyond me. I understand wanting an actual document of him performing the speech... but I think that the video of him doing the frickin' speech does a pretty damn good job of that!
Still, Obama has declared that this practice will end. It's like he is afraid the birthers might jump all over it and he is trying to nip it in the bud. I thought you didn't have time for this nonsense, Mr. President.
What do you guys think? Is this a non-issue or am I missing something?
